Public Local Laws, title "Prince George's county," sub-title
"Bladensbury," and to amend and re-enact the same.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Suit,

Said bill was re-committed to the Committee on Corpora-
tions.

Also, favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bank of
Denton, in Denton, Caroline county, Maryland.

Which was read the second time.
Also, favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Bank of
Centreville, in Queen Anne's county, Maryland.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Baltimore city to
report a bill to enable the Mayor and City Council, of Balti-
more, to purchase the equipments and property of the Balti-
more City Passenger Railway Company, if in the judgment
of the said Mayor and City Council, they deem proper.

Mr. Walsh called up

The Senate bill entitled an Act to incorporate a company
to make a turnpike from Stockton to the White House, by way
of Fallston, in Harford county, State of Maryland.

Said bill being on second reading,
Mr. Walsh submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend section 1 by striking out of line 3 from the words
"Stockton to," and insert in line 4, same section, after word
"Fallston" the words "to Magnolia.''

Amend section 2, line 2, by striking out the word "ten,"
and insert the word "twenty."

Amend by striking out section 10, and insert the following :

''Section 10 And be it enacted, That the said President and
Directors shall have power to erect such toll-gates as they
may deem necessary, not exceeding one gate to each three
miles of said turnpike, so soon as said three miles shall be
completed, and shall have power to purchase the sites for said
gates, and locate them at such points on the line of said
turnpike as they may select."
