On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to intro-
duce a bill for the relief of the securites of James Spicer,
deceased, collector of tax for the first district of Harford
county.

On motion by Mr. Knight,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill entitled an Act to amend Article LXIX.
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Officers," by
adding thereto, additional sections to come in after twelve; of
said Article.

Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Corporations,
reported

The House bill entitled au Act to change the place of vot-
ing in the seventh district of Wicomico county, with the
following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out in line 6, section 1, the words "or less," line 9,
strike out "otherwise" and insert in lieu thereof "by the
purchase and cancellation of stock.''

Which was adopted.

Said bill as amended was read the first time.

The House bill entitled an Act to confirm and enlarge the
power and authority of the Hebrew Orphan Asylum of Balti-
more city, a corporation chartered under the provisions of
section 26 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Corporations."

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 16 of
chapter 476, passed at January Session, 1870, entitled an
Act to provide for the creation and regulation of Incorpora-
