The hour of 12 o'clock, having arrived, the President an-
nounced the order of the day,

On motion by Mr. Fields,
The order of the day was postponed for 15 minutes.

Mr. Williams, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported unfavorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to alter and amend the
charter or certificate of incoporation of the Carroll County
Savings Bank, of Uniontown, a corporation organized under
the provisions of the General Laws of the State of Maryland,
authorizing the formation of corporations,

And the report was adopted.
Also, reported favorably on

The House bill entitled an. Act to repeal section 2 of the
Act of January Session, 1870, chapter 387, entitled an Act
to incorporate the Washington, Colesville and Ashton Turn-
pike Company, and to re-enact the same with amendment.

Which was read the second time.
Also, reported favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Solo-
mon's Island Oyster and Fruit Packing and Manufacturing
Company, Calvert county, Maryland.

Which was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal section 110
of Article XVI., sub-titled "Chancery," of the Code of Public
General Laws.

On motion by Mr. Longwell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay
current expenses of the House of Reformation and Instruc-
tion for Colored Children, and for the erection of the family
building, barns, shops and all necessary out-buildings.

On motion by Mr. Mudd,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Mudd, Suit and Brattan to
introduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners of
Charles county, to subscribe to the Southern Maryland Rail
Road Company.

On motion by Mr. Billingsley,
The bill for the relief of Biscoe Adams,
