tee on Finance.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act regulating the sale of Re-
served Seats in Theatres, Concert and Lecture Rooms, and
other places of Public Amusements in the State of Maryland.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

The House bill entitled an Act to pay P. T. Hambleton,
the sum of forty-nine dollars.

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

Mr. Crawford, from the Committee of Conference to which
had been referred

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Commis-
sioners of Wicomico county to levy taxes on the assessable
property of said county for the purpose of purchasing a site
on which to erect a Court House and Jail, and furnish the
same,

Reported said bill with the following amendment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of section 2, add the words: "And the said
County Commissioners are hereby prohibited, and it shall be
unlawful for them to contract for said site, or the erection of
a Jail, or the erection and furnishing of said Court House
and offices, until the levy shall have been made, for the sev-
eral purposes set forth in this section respectively."

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

The House bill entitled an Act to add new sections to Ar-
ticle XIX. of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to Som-
erset county,

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Sec. 54, line 4, strike out the words "four feet," and in-
sert "three feet and two inches."

Sec. 54, line 7, strike out the word "three," and insert
"eight."
