670 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 20,

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to subscribe to the amount of two
hundred and fifty thousand dollars to the capital stock of the
Washington City and Point Lookout Rail Road,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Board of Police Commissioners for the city of Baltimore
to purchase or lease ground in said city, and to have erected
there on suitable Station Houses, to have the title thereof
vested in the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and to
pay the cost and expenses thereof out the special fund of the
said Board of Police Commissioners.

Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as
follows :

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Aydelott, Longwell,

Blake, Phelps,

Brewer, Stevens,

Billingsley. Steiner,

Brattan, Suit,

Crawford, Tuck,

Davis, Williams—14.

NEWATIVE—None.
The bill was then sent to the House of Delegates.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments the 23rd section of Article LXI. of the Code of
Public General Lawn, title "Fish and Fisheries," sub-titled
"Patuxent,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act relating to the Chesapeake
Immigration, Land and Improvement Company,

Being on second reading,

Mr. Brattan moved to strike out the name of Wm. H.
Tuck from the bill.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Steiner submitted the following amendment :

Insert the names of Robert F. Brattan and F. Putnam
Stevens.

Which was adopted.
