Mr. Davis called up the Senate bill entitled an Act to pro-
vide an additional section to Article III., Code of Public Lo-
cal Laws, title "Baltimore county."

Which was read the second time and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Billingsley,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Billingsley, Davis and
Phelps, to introduce a bill to authorize the Comptroller to
pay a certain sum of money to Thomas Dent, of St. Mary's
county, for services rendered the State.

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE,

Annapolis, March 12th, 1874.

The following Acts of Assembly were this day presented
to His Excellency, the Governor, for his approval:

73. An Act to add a sub-section to section one of Article
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "General As-
sembly," sub-title "Mileage."

74. An Act to amend the Act of 1853, chapter 441, enti-
tled an Act to continue the corporate existence of the several
Banking Institutions therein mentioned, repealing the 5th
and 9th sections thereof, and re-enacting the same with
amendments.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY

Secretary.

Mr. Stevens called up the Senate bill entitled an Act to
pay to Wm. Frank Tucker, and A. K. Syester, a sum of
money.

Mr. Earle moved to postpone further consideration of the
said bill until Wednesday next, at 12 o'clock.

Which was rejected.

On motion by Mr. Billingsley,

Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Owens, the Hall-
keeper, until Monday.

On motion by Mr. Blake,
The Senate adjourned.
