Which was read and referred to Messrs. Walsh, Davis and
Longwell.

On motion by Mr. Williams,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Williams, Spencer and Tuck
to report a bill to repeal and re-enact with amendments sec-
tion 22 of Article LXXXIII. of the Code of Public General
Laws, entitled "Landlord and Tenant."

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which had been recommitted

The House bill entitled an Act supplementary to an Act
entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and City Council of
Baltimore to issue bonds of the city of Baltimore to an amount
not exceeding two millions, five hundred thousand dollars for
the purpose of providing means for the improvement of
Jones' Falls,

Reported favorably thereon and the bill was read the
second time.

Also, reported favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter LXIX. of
the Acts of Assembly of 1864, and the section therein pro-
vided to be added to the Code of Public Local Laws in rela-
tion to the levying of direct tax by the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, and to re-enact the said sections with
amendments.

Which was read the second time.
Also, reported favorably on

The House bill entitled an Act to authourize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to fund the floating debt of the
city of Baltimore, as authorized or existing on the 31st day
of October, 1874, to an amount not exceeding $2,000,000.

The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to issue bonds to an amount not
exceeding the sum of four million dollars to provide means
for introducing the waters of the Gunpowder river.

The House bill entitled an Act to provide for the better
protection of Partridges in Washington county, with the fol-
