Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Williams, from a Select Committee, reported

The House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article V., Public Local Laws, title "Calvert County," sub-
title "Orphans' Court," with the following amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend section I by adding at the end of the section "and
the mileage now allowed by law."

Amend the bill by adding as section, ''And be it further
enacted, that all laws and. parts of laws inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act, be and the same are hereby repealed,"

Which was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

Also, reported favorably

A bill entitled an Act to approve au Act passed January
Session, 1872, chapter 242, entitled an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Calvert county to subscribe to the
capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail Road
Company.

Which was read the second time.

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF THE SENATE,

Annapolis, March 11th. 1874.

The following Acts of Assembly was this day presented to
his Excellency, the Governor, for his approval:

No. 72. An Act authorizing the Baltimore, Chesapeake and
Delaware Bay Rail Road Company to charge tolls on freights
and passengers, to reduce the par value of the capital stock,
to establish its principal office in Baltimore city, to lease, buy
and build wharves, &c.

No. 73. An. Act fixing the mileage of the members of the
General Assembly from Garrett county.
