Said bill then being on its third reading, was

On motion by Mr. Knight,
Postponed to Thursday, the 12th inst.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the State Line
and Juniata, now Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York
Rail Road Company, to construct and operate their railroad
within the limits of this State.

The President laid before the Senate, Resolutions adopted
by the Maryland Agricultural and Mechanical Association,

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to encourage immigration
to the State of Maryland,

Being on second reading,

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Was postponed, and made the order of the day for Wed-
nesday, the 11th inst.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Board of
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county, to build a
bridge over Beard's Creek in said county,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the collection
of taxes upon personal property not included in the general
assessment,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide an additional
section to Article XI. of the Code of Public General Laws,
title "Attorneys,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled an Act to refund to Mary Cook,
Executrix of George Cook and others, moneys erroneously
paid by them to Inspectors of Tobacco in Baltimore city, for
outage and storage,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
