The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 4th, 1874.

Gentlemen of the Senate :

This Body have passed a Resolution, that when this Gen-
eral Assembly adjourn to-day, it stand adjourned until to-
morrow, Thursday evening at 8 o'clock, and that the House of
Delegates will attend the funeral of the late member, the Hon.
Robert Fowler, in a body, from Barnum's Hotel at 12 o'clock
M., on to-morrow, and respectfully invite the attendance of
your Honorable Body.

Mr. Davis submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

March 4th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message notifying this Body that
your House has passed a Resolution, that when it adjourns
to-day, it stands adjourned until to-morrow, Thursday even-
ing at 8 o'clock, and that the House of Delegates will attend
the funeral of the late member, the Hon. Robert S...Fowler,
in a body, from Barnum's Hotel, at 12 o'clock to-morrow,
and respectfully invite the attendance of the Senators, and
we respectfully concur therein.

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Davis, it was

Ordered That the Senate attend the funeral of the Hon.
Robert Fowler, late member of the House of Delegates, at 12
M., to-morrow.

Mr. Davis moved that the President appoint a Committee
of five to draft Resolutions expressive of the feeling of the
Senate, with reference to the death of the Hon. Robert Fow-
ler.

Which was adopted.

The President appointed Messrs. Davis, Denson, Earle,
Claggett and Walsh, to constitute said Committee.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,
The Senate adjourned.
