MONDAY, March 2nd, 1874.

The Senate met at 12 o'clock, M.

Prayer by Rev. Father Oberley.

The following Senators answered at roll call:

Messrs. President, Blake, Brewer, Billingsley, Brattan,
Crawford, Davis, Denson, Fields, Getty, Longwell, Lloyd,
McCulloh, Stevens, Steiner, Spencer, Suit, Tuck, Williams

The proceedings of Friday were read and approved.

Mr. Denson presented the petition of Rebecca Douglass
and Caroline Cole, asking to be restored to the pension roll.

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Brewer presented the memorial of W. Veirs Bouic
and other members of the Bar of the Circuit Court for Fred-
erick county, respectfully petition that in the law authorizing
the codification of the laws of Maryland to provide that the
British Statutes in force in Maryland, be incorporated in an
appropriate place under their proper heading.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Denson presented the petition of Charlotte Johnson,
asking to be placed upon the pension roll.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Davis presented the petition of Eliza H. Brown, Mary
E. Reeder and twenty-five other ladies of Baltimore county in

favor of local option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Temper-
ance.

Also,

Presented the petition of Samuel Hambleton, and twenty-
five others in favor of local option.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Tem-
perance.

Mr. Suit presented the petition of Alice E. Hall, of Prince
George's county, widow of Richard Y. Hall, a soldier of the
war of 1812, asking to be placed on the pension toll.
