Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill entitled "An Act to provide an addition-
al section to Article XI. of the Code of Public Laws, title

'Attorneys.' "

On motion by Mr. Lloyd, it was

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that the Sena-
tor from Dorchester county, is absent on account of extreme
illness.

On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Walsh, Longwell and Lloyd
to introduce a bill to amend section 37, Article XII. of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford county,"' sub-title
"Elections."

Mr. Lloyd submitted the following message :

BY THE SENATE,

February 26th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable Body
the appointment of a Joint Committee of five, two on the
part of the Senate and three on the part of the House to wait
on His Excellency James B. Groome, the Governor elect, and
inform him of his election and request his attendance on
Wednesday, the 4th of March next, at 12 o'clock, M., in the
Senate Chamber to qualify according to the Constitution and
form of Government of this State.

We have appointed on the part of the Senate, Messrs.
Lloyd and Knight.

By order,

AUGUSTUS GASSAWAY,

Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Tuck, it was

Ordered, That the Committee on Pensions inquire into the
propriety of placing the names of Wesley M. Hohne and
William Hubbard, on the pension roll as soldiers in the war
of 1812.

On motion by Mr. Denson,

Leave was granted to the Senators from Baltimore city to
introduce a bill to be entitled "An Act to add sections to the
fourth Article of the Code of Public Local Laws relating to
the city of Baltimore, sub-title 'Streets' and to repeal all
sections of the same inconsistent therewith."
