Mr. Earle presented the petition of W. C. Gibson and

others, citizens of Queen Anne's county, against the passage

of a bill doing away with the present ferry across Kent Island
Narrows.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

Petition of Charles E. Cockey and others, citizens of Queen
Anne's county, remonstrating against the passage of a law
taxing the citizens of said county for the purpose of building
a bridge across Kent Island Narrows.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

Petition of Mordecai Pule in reference to the same subject.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Mr. Claggett presented the petition of Joel B. Danner and
Daniel Zeigler, partners trading under the name and firm of
Danner & Zeigler, to have refunded to them $120 erroneously
paid into the Treasury.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

Mr. Denson presented the petition of eighty-six Boss Bar-
bers, for the passage of the Barber bill.

Also,

The petition of three thousand three hundred sixty Bar-
bers and citzens of Baltimore, for the passage of the Barbers'
bill.

Which were read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Knight,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
Introduce a bill to incorporate the Land Improvement Com-
pany of Cecil county.

On motion by Mr. Crawford,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Crawford, Claggett and
Getty to report a bill to authorize the Commissioners of
Wicomico county, to build a bridge across Wetipquin Creek
in said county.

On motion by Mr. Davis,
