Which was read, and

On motion by Mr. Billingsloy,
Was accepted.

Mr. Spencer presented the petition of Jacob Sutton, Wm.
B. Wilmer, Jacob Highley, Wm. T. Hebron, Cornelius J.
Scott and eighty other citizens of Kent county, for the repeal
of the Act of 1872, chapter 190, and to re-enact section 4,
Article XLL, Code of Public General Laws, so as to allow
the privilege of staking, &c.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

The petition from citizens of Kent county, asking for a law
taxing dogs.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Also,

Petition of thirty citizens of Kent county, asking the pas-
sage of a law to permit stake nets.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also,

Petition of sundry citizens of Kent county, praying the
passage of a stake net law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Chesa-
peake Bay and its Tributaries.

Also.,

Petition from sundry citizens of Kent county, praying the
passage of a law to prevent the running at large of Cattle in
Kent county.

Which was read and referred to Messrs. Spencer, Aydelott
and Earle.

Mr. Knight presented the petition of Wm. Falls and other
citzens of Cecil county, against imposing a tax upon persons
selling by sample in the State.
