districts, to collect the county and State taxes which

may be levied in each of these collection districts,

SEC. 3. The said collectors shall receive such com-

pensation as the commissioners may determine, not

exceeding six per cent, upon the amount collected,

and shall be required to give such bond and be

may hereafter be required by law.

free public schools of said county, and may, in their

discretion, levy such additional rate as they may

deem necessary to promote the efficiency of the said

school; said levy for school purposes not to exceed

twenty cents on the hundred dollars ; the school tax,

so fixed by law and levied, in the discretion of said

commissioners, to be made separate from the levy

for other county and State purposes, and it shall

constitute a separate fund, and not to be used for

any other purpose but that for which it was levied;

and which said school taxes are to be paid directly

to the school board of said county, by the collectors

of said county.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
