Board of Public Works of the State, such bond or

bonds as they may approve, conditioned for the
|
 
|
faithful performance of the work; and that a sum
|
 
|
equal to not less than twenty per cent, of the whole
|
 
|
cost of said buildings or improvements, shall be re-
|
 
|
tained by the Treasurer from the amount to be paid
|
 
|
under said contract for the erection and final com-
|
 
|
pletion of the same, until the acceptance and approval
|
 
|
of said contract by the said Board of Public Works
|
 
|
of the State.
|
 
|
SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage, and all acts or
|

parts of acts inconsistent herewith, be and the same
|
 
|
are hereby repealed.

AN ACT to repeal the act of Assembly, of eighteen
|
 
|
hundred and fifty-eight, chapter thirteen, passed
|
 
|
February the tenth, eighteen hundred and fifty-
|
 
|
eight, entitled, " an act, amendatory of the act of
|
 
|
Assembly, passed at December session, eighteen
|
 
|
hundred and thirty four, chapter eighty-seven, en-
|
 
|
titled, an act to incorporate " the Trustees of the
|
 
|
Education Fund, of the Baltimore Annual Confer-
|
 
|
ence," and to re-enact the same with amendments.
|
 
|
WHEREAS, The East Baltimore Conference has
|
 
|
ceased to exist, and nearly all the territory occupied
|

by said conference, has now become incorporated in

|
the Baltimore Annual Conference, by reason whereof
|
 
|
it has become proper to repeal said act of eighteen
|
 
|
hundred and fifty-eight, chapter thirteen, and to re-
|
 
|
enact said act of eighteen hundred and thirty-four,
|
 
|
chapter eighty-seven, therefore —
