that he will not suffer any person to vote at such

 

election who shall not, in his judgment, be qualified

to vote. Every person elected as commissioner shall,

 

before he enters upon the duties of his office, make

 

oath, before some justice of the peace, that he will

 

diligently and faithfully, without favor, partiality or

 

prejudice, perform the duties of a commissioner of

 

the said town, and a certificate of such qualification

 

shall be returned by said justice to the commission-

 

ers, who shall record and file the same among their

 

proceedings.

 

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said com-

number president thereof, whose duty it shall be to

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the commissioners

nated by them as the town hall, as often as occasion

 

may require, upon the business of said town, but

 

not less than once in every three months ; and, if

 

during the year for which they may be elected, any

 

of said commissioners should die, resign or remove

 

from said town, refuse to act, or be otherwise dis-

 

qualified, an election to fill such vacancy or vacancies

 

shall be held, at which all persons, as is specified in

 

the second section of this act, shall be entitled to

 

vote.
