changing the site or location of such road, shall be

 

ascertained and paid by said company, in the same

 

manner as is provided for in regard to the location

 

and construction of its own road.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said company be

said road, or of any branch thereof, whenever it shall

road or its branches, the said company shall have

 

and exercise all the powers conferred by its charter

 

or by this or any other amendment thereto, for the

 

purpose of originally locating and constructing said

 

road, and they shall pay damages to the owner of

 

the lands over which the new route may be located,

 

to be ascertained as hereinbefore provided.

 

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That if it shall be ne-

 

cessary or expedient for said company to occupy any

 

part of any road, street, lane, alley or public way or

 

ground of any kind, it shall be competent for the

 

municipal or other public officers or authorities,

 

owning or having charge or control thereof, and the
