LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

CHAPTER 373.

 

AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General As-

 

sembly of Maryland, to the devise and bequest of

 

Catherine Hoover, late of Frederick county, de-

 

ceased, to three trustees and their successors to be

 

appointed by the Virginia Annual Conference of

 

the United Brethern Church in Christ, and legal-

 

izing the same.

Preamble

WHEREAS, Catherine Hoover, late of Frederick

 

county, deceased, by her last will and testament,

 

which has been duly admitted to probate in the

 

Orphans' Court of Frederick county, devised and be-

 

queathed all her estate, both personal and real, to

 

three trustees, and their successors to be appointed

 

by the Virginia Annual Conference of the United

 

Brethern Church in Christ, the interest thereof to be

 

annually appropriated to educational, missionary and

 

other purposes as said Conference may direct, there-

 

fore —

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Sanction given
to bequest

Maryland, That the sanction and consent of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, be and the same is hereby
given to the said devise and bequest, in the said last

 

will and testament of Catherine Hoover, late of Fred-

 

erick county, deceased, to three trustees, and their suc-

 

cessors to be appointed by the Virginia Annual Con-

 

ference of the United Brethern Church in Christ, and

said devise and bequest are hereby made valid.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.
