On motion by Mr. Walsh,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Walsh, Lloyd and McCulloh
to introduce a bill in reference to the duties of the overseer
of the alms house in Harford county.

Mr. Walsh, from a Select Committee, reported favorably

on

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 12 of
Article 59, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Harford
county, sub-title 'alms house,' and re-enact the same with

amendments.''

Which was read the first time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and delivered

The House bill entitled "An Act to pay and compensate Wm.
Frank Tucker and Andrew K. Syester, for legal services ren-
dered in the United States Courts in defence of certain Offi-
cers of Registration, &c., indicted and prosecuted therein, for
an alleged violation of the Act of Congress, entitled 'An Act to
enforce the rights of citizens of the United States, to vote in
the several States of the Union, and other purposes.' "

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

The House bill entitled "An Act to provide for the adjudi-
cation and payment of all claims against the County Com-
missioners of Calvert county, prior to the first -day of Janu-
ary, 1874."

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Wil-
liams, Spencer and Earle.

The House bill entitled ''An Act supplemental to an Act
to incorporate the Dulany's Valley and Lawsontown Turn-
pike Company, passed January Session, 1856, chapter 24."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Corporations.

Also,

The House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 193 of
Article III. of the Code of Public Laws of Baltimore county,
sub-title 'Sheriff,' passed at the January Session of the Leg-
islature, in the year 1872, and to re-enact the same with
amendments."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Tuck,
The Senate adjourned.
