Said resolutions were then read the second time.
Mr. Fields demanding the yeas and nays upon the engross-
ment of the resolutions for a third reading,

It was determined in the affirmative by yeas and nays as
follows :

So the Resolutions were ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading.

The Hon. C. J. Pennington having appeared and delivered
a communication from His Excellency, the Governor,

Endorsed, ''Executive business.''

On motion by Mr. Tuck,
The Senate proceeded to Executive Session.
Having resumed Legislative Business.

The Clerk of the House of Delegetes appeared and delivered
the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

February 19th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We have received your message proposing that when the
Senate and the House of Delegates adjourn to-morrow, they
stand adjourned until Tuesday next. 24th February, and
respectfully concur therein.

Chief Clerk.
Also,

The Senate bill entitled "An Act supplementary to au Act
to provide for the building of the new jail in Allegany
county."
