CHAPTER 349.

 

AN ACT giving the sanction of the General As-

 

sembly of Maryland, to the bequest in the last

 

will and testament of Alice M. Gittings, late of

 

Cecil county, deceased, to the vestry of St. James

 

Church of Cecil county, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the sanction of the General Assembly

 

of Maryland, be and it is hereby given and declared,

 

to the bequests contained in the will of Alice M.

 

Gittings, late of Cecil county, Maryland, on file and

 

of record in the office of the Register of Wills of said

 

county, of the sum of five hundred dollars, to the

 

vestry of St. James Church of Cecil county aforesaid.

 

Approved April 11th, 1874.

 

CHAPTER 350.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners
of Baltimore county to appropriate a sum of
money to build a gas-house and pest-house, on the

 

grounds of the new alms-house property in said

 

county.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Authorized to

Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Balti-

appropriate

more county be and they are hereby authorized and

 

empowered to appropriate out of any money now

 

on hand, or that may hereafter come in hand from

 

the sale of property known as the old alms-house

property, the sum of six thousand dollars or as much

 

thereof as may be necessary for the purpose of

 

building a gas-house and erecting an apparatus to

 

manufacture gas for lighting the new building,
known as the " Uplands," and also to build a pest-

 

house for persons that are suffering from contagious.
