CHAPTER 327.
|
 
|
AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and ninety-
|
 
|
two, of chapter one hundred and fifty-four, of the
|
 
|
acts of eighteen hundred and seventy-two, entitled
|
 
|
"an act to amend the Public Local Laws of Prince
|
 
|
George's county, by adding thereto additional sec-
|
 
|
tions to come in after section one hundred and
|
 
|
eighty-two, of article sixteen, of the Code of Public
|
 
|
Local Laws, entitled " Prince George's county,"
|
 
|
imposing a tax on dogs and appropriating a portion
|
 
|
of said taxes as a reward for killing foxes; and to
|
 
|
the support of schools in said county, and to re-
|
 
|
enact the same with amendments.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That section one hundred and ninety-two,
|
 
|
of chapter one hundred and fifty-four, of the acts of
|
 
|
eighteen hundred and seventy-two, entitled " an act
|

eighteen hundred and seventy-two," entitled " an act
|
 
|
to amend the Public Local Laws of Prince George's
|
 
|
county," by adding thereto additional sections to
|
 
|
come in after section one hundred and eighty-two,
|
 
|
of article sixteen, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
|
 
|
entitled " Prince George's county," imposing a tax
|
 
|
on dogs and appropriating a portion of said tax as
|
 
|
a reward for killing foxes ; and to the support of
|
 
|
schools in said county, be and the same is hereby
|
 
|
repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :
|
 
|
192. The sum of two dollars shall be paid by the
|
 
|
County Commissioners to any huntsman or hunts-
|

men who may kill or destroy, or cause to be killed
|
killing foxes
|
or destroyed, any fox above the age of six months, as
|
 
|
near as can be ascertained, within the limits of the
|
 
|
aforesaid county; provided, that before the killer of
|
 
|
any fox in said county shall be entitled to the afore-
|
 
|
said compensation or reward, he or they shall
|
 
|
present the brush or brushes of the fox or foxes so
|
 
|
killed, to any justice of the peace of said county,
|
 
|
and make oath before him, that the fox or foxes,
|
 
|
brush or brushes, of which are so presented, were
|
