SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the further sum of

 

ten thousand dollars be and the same is hereby ap-

lege of Physicians and Surgeons of Baltimore, for

 

the purpose of the erection, equipment and main-

 

tenance of a Lying-in Hospital forindigent women, to

 

be located in the City of Baltimore ; and the Treas-

 

urer is hereby authorized to pay upon the warrant

thereof as may be necessary, has been expended, or

 

is required for the purpose of establishing, equiping

 

and maintaining said Lying-in Hospital.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the sum of twenty-

hundred and seventy-seven, to Thomas Opie, M.D.,

 

Dean of the Faculty of the College of Physicians and

 

Surgeons, or to his successor in office, for the main-

 

tenance of said Lying-in Hospital ; provided, that

hospital free of charge all indigent women from any

 

one of the counties of Maryland or from the City of

 

Baltimore, who may apply for the benefits of said

 

institution ; and provided further, that said College

 

of Physicians and Surgeons shall educate as a phy-

 

sician, free of charge, save for matriculation and

 

dissection fees, one student from each Legislative

 

District of the City of Baltimore, and one student

 

from each of the counties of this State. And to the
