SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 324.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to enable

the Faculty of Physic of the University of Mary-

land to build a hospital, and to appropriate a sum

of money to the College of Physicians and Sur-

geons of Baltimore; and a sum of money for the

Hebrew Hospital of Baltimore.

Appropriation

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the sum of thirty thousand dollars

be and the same is hereby appropriated for the use

of the Faculty of Physic of the University of Mary-

land, to be by it applied in aid of the erection of

a hospital upon ground belonging to the University

of Maryland; and the Treasurer is hereby author-

making the first payment thereof in the year eigh-

teen hundred and seventy-five; provided that said

University shall educate as a physician one student
