merely an outline map with. no reference to the

nature or typography of the lands, and many of the

lots were even neglected to be numbered; and said
|

map is now very old and much defaced and useless
|
 
|
for the kind of information generally sought for, and
|

WHEREAS, The Commissioner of the Land Office

highly approves and desires the preparation of such

a map as indicated, and states that it will be of great
|
 
|
present and future value to the citizens of the State,
|
 
|
therefore —

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

AN ACT to provide for making a survey of the

counties of Allegany and Garrett, for the purpose

of ascertaining the number of square miles each

contains.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That the Governor, upon the application

to appoint and commission a competent and reliable
|

surveyor, whose duty it shall be to make, as soon as
