CHAPTER 307.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments,

section eighty-four, of chapter four hundred and

eighteen, of the acts of eighteen hundred and

seventy-two, entitled " an act to repeal sections

seventy-nine, eighty, eighty-one, eighty-two,

eighty-three, eighty-four and eighty-five, of article

thirty-five, of the Code of Public General Laws,

title "Elections," sub-title "Representatives in

Congress," and to enact the following in lieu

thereof, so as to make Garrett county part of the

sixth congressional district.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

re-enacted

Maryland, That section eighty-four, of chapter four

hundred and eighteen, of the acts of eighteen hun-

dred and seventy-two, entitled " an act to repeal

sections seventy-nine, eighty, eighty-one, eighty-two,
eighty-three, eighty-four and eighty-five, of article
thirty-five, of the Code of Public General Laws, title

" Elections " sub-title " Representatives in Congress,"

and to enact the following in lieu thereof, be and the

same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read

as follows :

84. The sixth congressional district shall be com-

posed of Allegany county, Garrett county, Washing-

ton county, Frederick county and Montgomery

county, and shall be entitled to choose one represen-

tative.
