CHAPTER 299.

 

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Hannis Dis-

 

tilling Company of Philadelphia and Baltimore

 

city.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Directors

Maryland, That at any general meeting of the Han-
nis Distilling Company of Philadelphia and Baltimore

chosen

city, to be held after the passage of this act, and an-

 

nually thereafter, eleven of the stockholders shall be

 

chosen as Directors, of whom at least four shall be

 

citizens of this State; provided, that at the first gen-

 

eral meeting, so to be held, this amendment shall be

 

accepted by a unanimous vote of the stockholders.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 300.

 

AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and seventy-

 

nine, of article four of the Code of Public Local

 

Laws, title " City ofBaltimore" " sub-title " Sheriff, "

 

and to amend and re-enact the same.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That section one hundred and seventy-

re-enacted

nine, of article four of the Code of Public Local Laws,

 

title " City of Baltimore, " sub-title " Sheriff, " be

 

and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to

 

read as follows :

 

179. The Sheriff of Baltimore city shall be allowed

 

four dollars a day, for every day he shall attend either
