Woodbury Wheeler, attorney for Wm. De Craux, and Isaac
Scaggs, monies erroneously paid into the Treasury;

Mr. Lloyd presented the petition of one hundred citizens of
Talbot county, to secure further advantages in the sale of
fruit in Baltimore city.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Agricul-
ture,

On motion by Mr. Brattan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Finance to report
a bill to refund to John W. Tyler, Henry F. Chilton and
Major Todd, the State's portion of certain fines remitted by
the Governor, after having been paid into the Treasury.

On motion by Mr. Lloyd,

The Committee on Chesepeake Bay and its Tributaries was
discharged from further consideration of the petition of
Joseph M. Simmons and others, asking an amendment of the
law of 1872, chapter 54, in referrence to ''wildfowl."

Mr. Stevens presented the memorial of the officers and
managers of the Shelter for colored orphans and friendless
colored children, asking an appropriation from the State.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance.

The Senate Joint Resolutions directing the Comptroller to
place the credit of certain Insurance Companies amounts there-
in named,

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings
reported favorably on

The House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 180, of
Article XXX. of the supplement to the Code of Public
General Laws, relating to 'Sabbath breaking' and to re-enact
the same with amendments."

Which was read the second time.

The House bill entitled "An Act for the protection of
'Black Bass and all other fish' in the Patapsco River, above
tide water,"

Was repoted favorably from a Select Committee and read
the second time.

Mr. Davis; from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings
reported favorably
