setion 3 of Article V. of she Code of Public General Laws
title 'Appeals,'"

a third reading.
Mr. Brattan submitted the following
JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
WHEREAS, the Commissioners heretofore appointed, by the
States of Virginia and Maryland to adjust the boundary line
between said States, have submitted to their respective Legis-
latures their final report setting forth- the propositions for
adjustment reciprocally submitted and declined, and finally
their inability to agree upon a boundary line to be jointly
recommended for adoption by the Legislature, of the two
States; and
Whereas, the General Assembly of Maryland, upon con-
sideration of the several propositions of boundary, which,
have been suggested, finding the present controversy is im-
posed with justice and fairness of the following line of
boundary, to wit: The boundary line from Smith's Point
to be a right line across the Chesepeake Bay, to the centre of
Cedar Straits upon the Tangier Sound, near, the south, end of
Watkins' Point thence by a right line in, a south-easterly
direction to the channel of Pocomoke Bay or River mouth to
Cedar Straits ; thence up, by and with the channel of said
Pocomoke Bay and River, to a point therein opposite to the
