officers and the committee shall be elected by ballot

 

at the first annual meeting of the society, a majority

 

of the members present to determine such election.

 

These officers and the committee shall serve for one

 

year from the date of their election, and until their

 

successors are elected, and shall receive no pecuniary

 

compensation for their services.

 

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That there shall be a
