CHAPTER 246.
AN ACT to provide for indexing the land and
chattel records of Baltimore county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for	General index to be made
Baltimore county, be and he is hereby authorized to
cause a general index to the land and chattel records
in his office, to be made under the system known as
the " Campbell System," now in use in Frederick
county, and shall be entitled to receive therefor, the
«um of five cents for each name in which said indexes
are made, to be paid for by the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county, in monthly payments
as the work progresses, on the certificate of the
Circuit Court for said county, that said work has been
properly performed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-	Far for the work.
missioners of Baltimore county are hereby authorized
and directed to levy on the assessable property of
said county, such sums as may be necessary, and pay
for the work as above described.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the Clerk of the	Shall pay over

more county, any excess of fees which may accrue
in their respective offices, until the cost to the county
shall be reimbursed.
SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take	Ill force

AN ACT to designate the arbitrators to ascertain
and fix the boundary between the States of Vir-
ginia and Maryland.
