CHAPTER 235.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to Char-
|
 
|
lotte Hall School, in St. Mary's county.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Appropriation.
|
Maryland, That the sum of one thousand dollars be
|
 
|
and is hereby appropriated for the use and benefit
of Charlotte Hall School, and that said appropriation
|
 
|
shall continue for five consecutive years.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said sum of one
|
Payable.
|
thousand dollars be and is hereby made payable, by the
|
 
|
Treasurer on the warrant of the Comptroller, to the
|
 
|
President of the Trustees of Charlotte Hall School,
|
 
|
on the first day of June of eighteen hundred and
|
 
|
seventy-four, for five consecutive years from the date
|
 
|
thereof, and no longer.
|
 
|

CHAPTER 236.
|
 
|
AN ACT supplementary to a act entitled "an act
|
 
|
to incorporate the Maryland Institution for the
|
 
|
instruction of the blind,"passed May the nineteenth,
|
 
|
eighteen hundred and fifty-three.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|

work shops.
|
Maryland, That the Directors of the Maryland In-
|
 
|
stitution for the instruction of the blind, be and they
|
 
|
are hereby authorized and empowered, to apply such
|
 
|
portion of their endowment fund, and annual income,
|
 
|
as they may deem expedient to establish work-shops,
|
 
|
and to open a store for the sale of articles manufac-
|
 
|
tured by the blind, and to extend the benefits of
|
 
|
such work-shops and store, to the adult blind of this
|
 
|
State, not resident in the institution, on such terms,
|
 
|
and under such regulations as they may prescribe.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|

effect from the date of its passage.
