CHAPTER 237".

AN ACT to change the name of The South Balti-

more Chemical Works," incorporated by chapter

one hundred and eight of the acts of the General

Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, to

that of " The Chappell Chemical and Fertilizer

Company."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the name of "The South Baltimore "

Name changed

Chemical Works," a corporation created by chapter

one hundred and eight of the acts of the General

Assembly of eighteen hundred and sixty-four, be and

the same is hereby changed to that of "The Chappell

Chemical and Fertilizer Company," and by that

name the said corporation shall heaeafter be known,

with all the rights heretofore granted to said corpo-

ration under and by said act of eighteen hundred

and sixty-four, chapter one hundred and eight.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 238.

AN ACT to amend an act, entitled " an act to

amend the charter of the Peabody Savings Bank of

Baltimore city, " approved April the first, eighteen

hundred and seventy-two.

Repealed and
re-enacted

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That the second section of said act be re-

pealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

Elect directors

2. That the shareholders comprising this company,
shall. in person or by proxy, on the first Monday in

May, eighteen hundred and seventy-four, and in

each and every year thereafter, choose by ballot from
