CHAPTER 229.
|
 
|
AN ACT to repeal section one, article thirty-five of
|
 
|
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled " elec-
|
 
|
tions, and to re-enact the same with amendments."
|
Repealed and
re-anacted
|
SECTION 1. And be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That section one, of article thirty-five,
|
 
|
of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled elections,
|
 
|
be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
|
 
|
to read as follows:
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
|
Annually ap-
point judges of
|
missioners in each county, shall annually appoint
|
election
|
three persons for each election district, or precinct
|
 
|
of the county, residents of such district or precinct,.
|
 
|
who, or a majority, or only one of whom in case of
|
 
|
the non-attendance of the other two, shall be judges
|
 
|
of the election for such district or precinct, from the
|
 
|
time of their appointment, until a new appointment
be made, and it shall be the duty of said County
|
 
|
Commissioners of said counties, in making their ap-
|
 
|
pointments for said judges of elections, to select at
|
 
|
least one of said judges for each election district and
|
 
|
precinct in their respective counties, from among
|
 
|
those of a different political party from themselves,
|
 
|
or a majority of themselves.

CHAPTER 230.
|
 
|
AN ACT to amend article ten of the Code of Pub-
|
 
|
lic General Laws of this State, relating to "attach-
|
 
|
ments," by adding thereto an additional section
|
 
|
relating to the attachment of the wages or hire of
|
 
|
non-residents of this State.
|
