General Laws of this State, be and the same is hereby

amended, by adding thereto the following additional

section :

SEC. — The Wages or hire of any person or per-

sons, not residing in this State, shall be subject to

CHAPTER 231.
|
 
|
AN ACT to regulate the commissions to be allowed
|
 
|
clerks of courts for collecting, and paying over
|
 
|
to the Treasury public money.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That for receiving and paying over all pub-
|
 
|
lic money received for licenses, fines or otherwise,
|

the several clerks of courts of this State, shall

receive five per centum, except the Clerk of the
|
 
|
Court of Common Pleas of the City of Baltimore,
|
 
|
who shall receive two per centum commissions
|
 
|
for receiving and paying over such public money.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of

|
acts inconsistent with this act, be and the same are
|

hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
