LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

CHAPTER 226.

 

AN ACT to authorize the Academy of Music of

 

Baltimore city, to issue its bonds bearing an

 

interest not exceeding eight per cent, per annum,

 

and to secure the same by mortgage.

Issue and sell

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

bonds

Maryland, That the President and Directors of the

 

Academy of Music of Baltimore city, a corporation

 

formed under the general law of this State, be and

 

they are hereby authorized to issue and sell on such

 

terms as they may deem best for the interest of

 

the company, the bonds of the said corporation, re-

 

deemable within twenty years, to an amount not ex-

 

ceeding one hundred and fifty thousand dollars,

 

bearing an interest not exceeding eight per cent, per

 

annum, and to secure the same by a mortgage on

 

the property of the said company.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

In force

effect whenever the consent of the holders of a

 

majority of the shares of the capital stock, shall have

 

been first had and obtained.

CHAPTER 227.

 

AN ACT to authorize the Treasurer to pay William

 

H. Collins, of Baltimore city, a sum of money due

 

him for services rendered as screwsman in Tobacco

 

Warehouse number five, erroneously paid into the

 

Treasury.

Appropriation
W. H Collins

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby

 

authorized and directed to issue his warrant upon

 

the Treasurer of this State, to pay William H.

 

Collins, of Baltimore city, the sum of one hundred

 

and seventeen dollars, said sum being due for labor
