CHAPTER 225.

AN ACT to approve an act passed January session,
|
 
|
eighteen hundred and seventy-two, chapter two
|
 
|
hundred and forty-five, entitled " an act to au-
|
 
|
thorize the County Commissioners of Anne
|
 
|
Arundel county, to subscribe to the capital stock
|
 
|
of the Baltimore and Drum Point Railroad Com-
|
 
|
pany, " as provided by section fifty-four of article
|
 
|
three, of the Constitution.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. And be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the act passed January session,
|

proved

dred and forty-five, entitled " an act to authorize the
|
 
|
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county,
|
 
|
to subscribe to the capital stock of the Baltimore
|
 
|
and Drum Point Railroad Company, " and which au-
|
 
|
thorizes a subscription in the name of and for the
|
 
|
said county, to the amount of two hundred thousand
|
 
|
dollars, to the capital stock of the said company,
|
 
|
upon certain terms and conditions therein specified,
|
 
|
be and the same is hereby ratified, confirmed and
|
 
|
approved.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That whereas, a
|
 
|
difference of opinion may be held- in regard to the
|

meaning and intention of the language of the ninth

section of said act of eighteen hundred and seventy-
|
 
|
two, chapter two hundred and forty-five, prescribing
|
 
|
that certain instalments of the said bonds shall be
|
 
|
delivered to the said company, upon the grading or
|
 
|
completion of certain portions of the line of the said
|
 
|
railroad lying within the limits of said county, it is
|
 
|
hereby expressly provided, that said section shall be
|
 
|
construed to mean and apply to the entire length of
|
 
|
the line of said railroad, extending from the corporate
|
 
|
limits of Baltimore city, to the boundary line be
|
 
|
tween Anne Arundel and Calvert counties.
|
 
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall

take effect from the date of its passage.
