ment recovered, supercede or stay the same for thirty

days, by giving security satisfactory to the said jus-

tice of the peace; and the said fines, penalties and

|
forfeitures shall thereafter be collected, as small debts
|
 
|
are now collectable before a justice of the peace.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County

Commissioners of Baltimore county, to pay Cod-

ling and Lishear, contractors for building the new
|
 
|
Alms-house in said county, the sum of two thou-
|
 
|
sand dollars, and to repeal so much of the act
|
 
|
passed January session, eighteen hundred and
|
 
|
seventy-two, chapter three hundred and sixty-eight,
|
 
|
as may be inconsistent with the provisions of this
|
 
|
act.

WHEREAS, John Q. Codling and A. F. Lishear, and

known as the firm of Codling and Lishear, con-
