SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That John S. Purnell,

 

Robert I. Henry, H. R. Pitts, William D. Pitts,

 

Cyrus L. Williams, Littleton P. Franklin, L. D.

the rights, &c.

L. Dirickson and Zadok P. Henry, the present Board

 

of Trustees, shall exercise all the rights, privileges

 

and powers conferred by said act upon the original

 

Board of Trustees, and shall meet at least once in

 

every two years, at such time or times as they may

 

designate by ordinance, to carry out the provisions

 

of said act.

In force

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 193.

 

AN ACT to provide for the relinqnishment to the

 

United States, in certain cases, of title to and juris-

 

diction over Jands for sites of light-houses, bea-

 

cons, and other aids to navigation, and for the pro-

 

tection of beacons, buoys, and floating guides on

 

the coast, and in the waters of this State.

Consent given

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the consent of the State be, and the

 

same is hereby given to the purchase by the Gover-

 

ment of the United States, or under the authority of

 

the same, of any tract, piece, or parcel of land not ex-

 

ceeding five acres, from any individual or individ-

 

uals, bodies politic or corporate within the boundaries

 

or limits of the State, for the purpose of erecting

 

thereon light-houses, beacons and other aids to naviga-

 

tion ; and all deeds and conveyances of title papers for
the same shall be recorded, as in other cases, upon the

 

land records of the county in which the land so con-

 

veyed may lie ; the consent herein and hereby given

 

being in accordance with the seventeenth clause of
