however, that the provisions of this section shall not

effect those persons who, as conservators of the peace,

are required to carry a pistol or other weapons as part
|
 
|
of their equipments, and provided further, that it
|
 
|
shall be the duty of all officers, to take all persons
|
 
|
arrested in the day time under this act, immediately
|
 
|
before the justice of the peace, nearest the place of
|
 
|
arrest, for examination, except for drunk and disor-
|
 
|
derly conduct or theft, and any officer failing so to
|
 
|
do shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and
|
 
|
upon conviction shall be fined not less than five nor
|
 
|
more than ten dollars.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And. be it enacted, That this act shall take
|

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 179.

AN ACT supplementary to an act entitled " an act

to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
|
 
|
more to issue bonds of the City of Baltimore, to an
|
 
|
amount not exceeding two millions five hundred
|
 
|
thousand dollars, for the purpose of providing
|
 
|
means for the improvement of Jones' Falls, with-
|
 
|
in the limits of the City of Baltimore," passed at
|
 
|
the January session of eighteen hundred and sev-
|
 
|
enty, chapter one hundred and thirteen, and to
|
 
|
provide for an additional issue of bonds, not to
|
 
|
exceed in amount one million five hundred thou-
|
 
|
sand dollars.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the, General Assembly of
