SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 178.

 

AN ACT to repeal section eight hundred and twenty-

 

seven, chapter four hundred and seventy-three,

 

of the acts of Assembly, passed January session,

 

eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled an act to

 

add an additional section to article four, of the

 

Code of Public Local Laws, title city of Baltimore,

 

sub-title Police, and be section eight hundred and

 

twenty-seven of said article, and to amend and re-

 

enact the same as amended.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Repealed and

Maryland, That section eight hundred and twenty-

re-anacted.

teen hundred and seventy, entitled an act to add an

and re-enacted, so as to read as follows :

 

827. Whenever any person shall be arrested,

 

charged with any crime or misdemeanor, and carried
