Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

The House bill entitled "An Act to repeal -section 180 of
Article XXX. of the supplement to the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, relating to Sabbath breaking, and to re-enact the
same with amendments."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

The House bill entitled "An Act ty repeal so much of the
Act passed at the January Session, 1870, chapter 434, enti-
tled 'An Act to extend the jurisdiction of Justices of the
Peace in and for Dorchester, Kent, Caroline, Calvert, Carroll,
Queen Anne's, Anno Arundel, Prince George's, Harford,
Charles and Worcester counties, to cases of assault and bat-
tery,' and to extend the right of appeal so far only as the
same relates to Kent county."

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

Also,

The House bill entitled "An Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Wicomico county to borrow money on the
credit of the county, for the purpose of purchasing a site on
which to erect a Court House and Jail, to issue bonds for the
payment of the same, and to levy taxes on the assessable
property of the county to redeem said bonds and to pay the
interest thereon.''

Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs.
Crawford, Claggett and Phelps.

Also,

The House bill entitled "An Act for the better protection
of Birds in Wicomico county."

On motion by Mr. Billingsley,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Education to in-
troduce a bill to appropriate a sum of money to enable the
Trustees of Charlotte Hall School, to make said school a
Public High School for Charles and St. Mary's counties.

Mr. Walsh moved to reconsider the vote by which the
Senate bill creating a Board of Public Charities was passed.
