option of the holders thereof into the capital stock of

 

said company at the par value thereof, and to secure

 

the payment of the principal and interest of said

 

bonds, by a mortgage conveying all the road of said

 

company, constructed and to be constructed, its ma-

 

chinery and rolling stock, acquired and to be ac-

 

quired, and all its net revenues and tolls.

In force

SEC. 2. And be, it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 162.

 

AN ACT to authorize the sheriffs of the several

 

counties and City of Baltimore, to collect certain

 

fees due the late Clerk of the Circuit Court for

 

Saint Mary's county, in the same manner as such

 

officers fees have been heretofore collected.

 

WHEREAS, John A. Camalier, late Clerk of the

Preamble

Circuit Court for Saint Mary's county, has failed to

 

place his fees in the hands of the sheriffs of the sev-

 

eral counties of this State and of the City of Balti-

 

more, for collection, since the March term of said

 

court, in year eighteen hundred and sixty-five;

 

therefore —

To be received

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

and collected.

Maryland, That all fees due John A. Camalier for

 

services rendered as Clerk of the Circuit Court for

 

Saint Mary's county from the year eighteen hundred

 

and sixty-five, to the year eighteen hundred and

 

seventy-three inclusive, shall be received for col-

 

lection by the sheriffs of the several counties of this

 

State and the City of Baltimore, in the same manner

 

as fees due such officers have heretofore been re-

 

ceived and collected ; and such sheriffs shall use and

 

have the same means of enforcing payment of said

 

fees, and be liable officially to the said John A. Cam-
