LAWS OF MARYLAND.

 

Comptroller, to pay to Charles G. Hanson of Howard

 

county, the sum of eighty-one dollars and eighty
cents, being the sum which the said Charles G. Han-

 

son has paid for State taxes, erroneously assessed

 

and paid into the Treasury.

In force

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

 

Approved, March 27th, 1874.

 

CHAPTER 144.

 

AN ACT to repeal sections five and six of the act of

 

the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at Jan-

 

uary session, eighteen hundred and seventy-two,

 

chapter two hundred and twelve, entitled " an act

 

to provide for taking a vote for or against a new

 

county, in certain election districts in Allegany

 

county, at the election to be held in the fall of

 

eighteen hundred and seventy-two," and to re-

 

enact the same with amendments.

Repealed am

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

re-enacted

Maryland, That sections five and six, of the act of

 

eighteen hundred and seventy two, chapter two hun-

 

dred aud twelve, entitled "an act to provide for tak-

 

ing a vote for or against a new county in certain elec-

 

tion districts in Allegany county at the election to be

 

held in the fall of eighteen hundred and seventy-

 

two," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-en-

 

acted with amendments, to read as follows :

Terms of the

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the county of Gar-

Circuit Court

rett, if formed according to the provisions of the

 

Constitution and Law, shall be embraced in the

 

Fourth Judicial Circuit; that the next term for the

 

Circuit Court for said county, to be held after the

 

May term of the present year, shall commence on the

 

second Monday of September instead of the first
