a congregational meeting duly called in accordance

 

with the Public General Laws of this State, relating

 

to religious corporations, did adopt the following

 

amendments to said plan, agreement or regulation,

to wit : First, in the preamble of the original act

 

of incorporation after the word " Church," in line

 

fifth, supply the words " and congregation;" second

 

in section fourth of said charter or act of incorpora-

 

tion, supply after the words "part of" the woids

 

" the body known since Anno Domini eighteen

 

hundred and thirty-seven as the old school ; " third,

 

in section second of the original charter, after the

 

words " management of" substitute for the words

 

"temporal concerns," the words "the estate, property

 

interest and inheritance," and add to the section

 

these words : Nor shall more than four of the Trus-

 

tees who have served during any one term, be eligi-

 

ble for re-election for the space of two years there-

 

after, the determination which of the seven are re-eli-

 

gible to be by lot ; fourth, in section fifth of the origi-

 

nal charter, substitute the word "April" for "Maj;"

 

and whereas, on the thirtieth day of March, Anno

 

Domini eighteen hundred and fifty-seven, the male

 

members and pew-holders of said church, at a con-

 

gregational meeting duly called in accordance with

 

the Public General Laws of this State, relating to

 

religious corporations, did adopt the following ad-

 

ditional amendment to their said plan, agreement or

 

regulation to wit :

 

Resolved, That the charter of the Central Pres-

Altered and

byterian Church, be altered and amended in manner

amended.

following : that the second section of the charter as

 

amended on the fifth day of May, eighteen hundred

 

and fifty-six, be stricken out, and the following be

 

substituted therefor : That the number of Trustees

 

for the management of the temporal concerns of the

 

said church, shall consist of twelve male members or

 

pew-holders of the said church, besides the minister

 

for the time being, and who at the time of being

 

elected shall be of the full age of twenty-one years, and
who shall continue to act for the term of two years ;

 

and that for all business purposes, four of the said

 

Trustees, .with the acting minister, or five of them

 

without the acting minister shall form a quorum,

 

and their acts when a proper quorum shall meet

 

shall be in all respects binding; and that the Trustees
