LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said Baltimore

assent

and Fredericktown Turnpike Road Company is here-
by fully authorized and empowered to give its assent

 

to the use of steam power on said railway, over the

 

road bed of said Turnpike Road Company.

In force

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

 

Approved, this 27th day of March, 1874.

 

CHAPTER 114.

 

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Archbishop

 

of Baltimore, to convey to the School Com-

 

missioners of Dorchester county, and to their

 

successors, a certain parcel of land in said county

 

together with the buildings thereon, as also to

 

authorize the said School Commissioners to receive

 

a deed therefore.

 

WHEREAS, by deed, dated the fifteenth day of

Preamble

March, in the year eighteen hundred and fifty-two,

 

duly executed and acknowledged and recorded in

 

Liber E. R., number nineteen, folios eight and nine,

 

one of the land records of Dorchester county, a

 

certain Charles Tubman and Susan Tubman his

 

wife, did grant and convey unto Samuel Eccleston,

 

then Archbishop of Baltimore, and to his successors,

 

a certain lot of land in said county, and particularly

 

described in said deed, and containing thirty-six

 

square perches of land more or less, and whereas

 

the Archbishop of Baltimore, is now willing to

 

grant and convey the said lot of land to the School

 

Commissioners of Dorchester county, therefore —

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
