SEC. 24. E. And be. it enacted, That if any person

shall wilfully and maliciously put any stake, log,

haul of any fishery, he shall pay a fine of not less

than twenty nor more than one hundred dollars, at

the discretion of the justice of the peace trying the

SEC. 23. F. And be it enacted, That this act shall

CHAPTER 81.
|
 
|
AN ACT to empower the Board of Trustees of the
|
 
|
Methodist Episcopal Church of Cumberland, to
|
 
|
sell and convey a certain lot of ground in said city
|
 
|
WHEREAS, Thomas Beall, of Samuel, of Allegany
|

|
county, did in the year of our Lord, one thousand
|
 
|
seven hundred and ninety-nine, convey by deed to-
|
 
|
Joseph Cresap and John J. Jacob and their suc-
|
 
|
cessors, in trust for the use of the Methodist Society
|
 
|
in the town of Cumberland, as a place for public and
divine worship, a lot of ground in said town, which
|
 
|
said deed was duly recorded among the land records
|
 
|
of Allegany county, and the property taken and
|
 
|
held under it for the last seventy-three years, and
|
 
|
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the Methodist
|
Preamble.
|
Episcopal Church of Cumberland, the successors of
|
 
|
the Trustees of the aforesaid Methodist Society, are
|
 
|
desirous to sell and dispose of the said lot of ground
|
 
|
for the purpose of applying the proceeds to the
|
 
|
liquidation of debts upon their present house of
worship, in the City of Cumberland! therefore —
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That the Board of Trustees of the Metho-
