SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 78.

AN ACT to repeal an act passed at the January

session, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, chapter

seventy-four, entitled an act to repeal section three

hundred and ten, of article eleven, of the Code of

Public Local Laws, entitled Frederick county, and

re-enact the same with an amendment, and to sub-

stitute in lieu of the said act the following :

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That an act, passed January session, eigh-

teen hundred and sixty-five, chapter seventy-four, en-

titled an act to repeal section three hundred and ten,

of article eleven, of the Code of Public Local Laws,

Repealed

entitled Frederick county, and re-enact the same

with amendments, be and the same is hereby re-

pealed, and the following is enacted as a substitute

for and in lieu thereof, to be known as section three

hundred and ten, of article eleven, of the said Code

of Public Local Laws, entitled "Frederick county."

SEC. 310. The Sheriff of Frederick county, shall

prisoner committed to the county jail.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from and after, the entrance of the Sheriff of

Frederick county, to be elected at the November

election, eighteen hundred and seventy-live, upon the

duties of his office.
