SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Delaware Bay
Railroad

Maryland, That the Baltimore, Chesapeake and Del-

 

aware Bay Railroad Company, a corporation duly

 

incorporated on the twenty-second day of August, in

 

the year eighteen hundred and seventy-three, under

 

the provisions of an act, entitled " an act to provide

 

for the creation and regulation of incorporated com-

 

panies in the State of Maryland," approved, April

 

the fourth, eighteen hundred and seventy, for the

 

purpose of building, equipping, maintaining and

 

working a railroad from a point on the line dividing

 

the States of Delaware and Maryland, where the Bal-

 

timore, Chesapeake and Delaware Bay Railroad, a

 

company incorporated by the General Assembly of

 

the State of Delaware, at its January session, held at

 

Dover, in eighteen hundred and seventy-three, ter-

 

minates, thence running westwardly through the coun-
ties of Caroline and Queen Anne's in this State, to

 

navigable water on Kent Island in said county- of

 

Queen Anne's, there to connect with steamboats and

 

barges, shall have the power, on the completion of

 

its railroad or any part thereof, to demand and re-

ceive such sum or sums of money for tolls on persons

 

or property transported by said company, as they

 

shall from time to time deem reasonable and proper.

SEC 2. And be it enacted. That the par value of the

houses and shops for corporate purposes ; to charter,

 

purchase and hold steamships, steamboats and barges

 

to ply in connection with their railroad, to any port

with the owner or owners of any steamboat or other

 

railroad company, for the transportation of freight

 

and passengers to and from any such railroads or

 

steamboats.
